Ryzen master driver not installed properly что делать

Drivers & Software

I tried uninstalling restarting and installing and other solutions I read on Reddit but none worked.

Thankfully uninstalling EasyTune worked!

I had never even used any of those Gigabyte utilities.

For those who can’t find the v13 folder, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\AMDRyzenMasterDriver\ImagePath was referencing an incorrect AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys file (the one from Gigabyte EasyTune, to be more specific).

So replace the ImagePath value with (without the quotes) «C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin\AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys».

Also for those who installed easy turner.. you have to uninstall.. that also gives you this error

Hey mate, I just upgraded from a 3700x to a 5950x and I have similar issues, even after reinstalling my windows.

More than that, there is only 1 AMDRyzenMasterDriver folder in regedit.

I’d be exteremly grateful for any feedback.

This isn’t problem for me.

3200G on msi tomohawk max II running latest Windows10. No GPU.

I had ryzen master running fine just for use as a monitor of performance/temps/fans because recent build and running as a minecraft server, so may need to tweak fan profiles.

Today was changing performance settings to stop pc turning off after inactivity, and used amd utility to download/install latest chipset drivers etc. I did briefly download and run HWinfo64 to see about altering fan speeds without going back to bios everytime, but didn’t make any changes before restarting PC.

After PC restart tried opening ryzen master and the «driver failed to install» came up. Found the solution mentioned on this forum and others, but I don’t have V13 + V14. In the relevant regedit location I have V17 only.

Tried uninstall and reinstall to no avail. Uninstall HWinfo64 incase that caused it. Not fixed.

Raising a new ticket on this, as my workaround did not fix the issue.

Hey, I’ve just upgraded my system from 3700x to a 5950x and AMD Ryzen Master is acting weird. There is only one registry in regedit as I wanted a fresh Windows install with the upgrade.

Reinstalling doesn’t fix it. Reinstalling chipset support didn’t make a difference. Bios changes won’t make it flick either. Anyone got any suggestions?

I’m on Adenaline 21.8.1,Ryzen Master 2.8.0.1937, but does this really matter?

I am using an Asus x570 Prime Pro, Bios Version 4021.

I tried renaming the regedit folder and it allowed me to load Ryzen Master, however, when I chose Precision Boost Overdrive, it asked for a Restart and when it booted back up, the same message of the driver not being installed properly popped up, and the folder that I renamed initially dissapeared.

Not sure how closely AMD staff watches this forum, haven’t seen too many replies from them.

What were you renaming before? Were you renaming the install folder to match your registry entry, or were you renaming the registry entry to match where Ryzen Master is actually installed (should be pointing to c:\program files\amd\ryzenmaster\bin\amdryzenmasterdriver.sys)?

Hey mate, thanks for pitching in again. I basically renamed the folder entry in regedit to match your (added v19). This is the action that allowed me to open Ryzen Master. However, after trying to enable Precision Boost, a restart was required and we’re back to square one. The folder that I initially renamed AMDRyzenMasterDriverv19 in regedit also disappered and now I just have the AMDRyzenMasterDriver one.

In the meantime I will raise a ticket via the Adrenaline platform and hope for the best

Really strange issue. have you tried changing the path in the registry to point to the file, but not adding the V19 to the end of the service name? IOW, just leave the service name as-is, and only change the path.

Yeah, no change whatsoever Though I noticed that I have 2 AMDRyzenMasterDryiver.sys files. One in C:\Program Files\AMD\Performance Profile Client and the other in C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin.

I’ve submitted the issue using the Reporting Tool, and I’ve noticed they took the install logs from Ryzen Master.

I don’t think I can upload the logs here. There are some errors, but nothing stands out in particular. The installation seems to be fine.

It sounds like some sort of conflict. I also have two AMDryzenmasterDriver.sys files, one is in the Ryzen Master bin folder, and the other is in my Asus AI Suite III folder. The two versions are different, the one in the Ryzen Master folder is version 1.9.0.0 and the one in the AI Suite folder is version 1.6.0.0. But I’m not having issues with Ryzen Master since my service is pointing to the correct version of the driver. I’m using Nvidia graphics so didn’t need to install any other AMD software (except chipset).

Check the version of the driver in your Performance Profile Client (that’s part of the Adrenaline software I guess?) folder, I’d bet it’s not 1.9.0.0. So I’m guessing what’s happening is that it’s probably an older version of the driver that is being loaded by the service, and when you run the actual Ryzen Master application, it won’t work because the driver’s not version 1.9.0.0.

Don’t know if this will break something else though. I’m not familiar with the Adrenaline software.

The problem was fixed for me by an older version

» I had the same problem. It worked after I replaced the value of ImagePath with C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin\AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys and rebooting.»

Malapterurus. Dude, you are my hero. I was going out of my mind and this worked.

If doesn’t work yet any solution try this:

Go to : Regedit > Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\AMDRyzenMasterDriver

If you have 2 folder with similar names > AMDRyzenMasterDriver > AMDRyzenMasterDriverV14,15,18,19 whatever version, delete this one AMDRyzenMasterDriverV?.

Now select the carpet and go to «Image Path» if this path looks like «\??\C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin\AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys» it’s corrupted > Click right and MODIFY and copy this path » C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin\AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys » OK and Restart your computer and Problem Fixed.

Just tried it and still getting the same issue. Tried older versions and different drivers. None of it works.

> Go to > Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\AMDRyzenMasterDriver

Double click > Image Path C:\Program Files\AMD\Performance Profile Client\AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys

Delete the «\??\» so it should be like this C:\Program Files\AMD\Performance Profile Client\AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys

So i came along this problem too, but in this case i didnt have the v13 or v19, just AMDRyzenMasterDriver. After looking for hours and trying everything i could find, nothing had changed. until i found a video on youtube explaining how to fix the problem. not gonna lie, i was so angry with how easy the fix was. After doing what the guy said, i restarted my computer and boom, all fixed and finally saw the AMDRyzenMasterDriverV19 that i had been looking for. i can now open and operate the program with no problems, so heres the video so all of you can try this too.

I had Ryzen Master working but since updating Radeon drivers it broke, I really don’t want to have to mess with the registry whenever there is an update

Hiya, I only have AMDRyzenMasterDriver and AMDRyzenMasterDriverV19, don’t wanna make a massive mistake and delete AMDRyzenMasterDriver unless I’m 100% sure I’m meant to.

Glad it works for you thank you so much for sharing my video to help people

If you have done a default installation of Ryzen Master then you should be seeing this «\??\C:\Program Files\AMD\RyzenMaster\bin\AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys». If you see something else then replace whatever garbage has been put in there with what I have in quotes above (DON’T copy the quotation marks).

If you have multiple entries for AMDRyzenMasterDriver with different numbers preceded by a «V» (which relates to the version number) currently that would be «V19» then delete the entry or entries with the lower «V» numbers and then check what I posted above.

Ryzen Master 2 (.0.0.1192) doesn’t work.

Error: Ryzen master driver not installed properly.

Had same error with previous version (2.0.0.1189).

Worked once or twice, didn’t work again, uininstalled re-installed, worked briefly, didn’t work again.

Uninstalled re-installed 10+ times including trying windows troubleshooter: doesn’t work.

Funnily enough had similar problems with Asus Aura software recently (software installs but driver (lightingcontrol) not working), only managed to get a very old version to work.

Specs: Ryzen 7 3700X, Prime X470-Pro, 16GB RAM, 1TB nvme, Windows 10 (1903) Pro.

EDIT: Thanks to /u/EntryLevelDeveloper for fix source.

Fix found and working consistently on reboot.

In search type regedit and navigate to:

If you see the following two entries:

right click AMDRyzenMasterDriverV13 and delete it.

This way windows can correctly load the v14 version RM requires to function.

I had ryzen master 2.0.0.1192 installed and working yesterday using my 2700x. I then updated to beta bios for my MSI B450I motherboard and put in my 3700x cpu. Upon start of windows when it tried to launch ryzen master I got something like «CPU not supported» or similar. I then uninstalled and reinstalled Ryzen master and after that I get the «driver not installed properly» on every start of ryzen master, so I cant get it running at all.

I am also encountering this issue. Funny thing is, yesterday it was working fine with the new CPU (3900X). But today that error is all i see, even after a reinstall of Ryzen Master.

I am on the AMD CPU 3900X & Crosshair VII Hero motherboard.

I had this issue too, but in my case it was resolved by installing the latest AMD chipset drivers. For example, if you have a B450 motherboard, here’s the link:

If it still doesn’t work, it might be also necessary to necessary to uninstall then reinstall Ryzen Master.

Same exact issue. was able to get it working once and then that was it. Getting the same error message. Asus Rog X470-i / 3700X. Also had the issue with Aura.. interestingly enough lol was able to get it working by uninstalling every component of Aura and reinstalling, but my motherboard’s rgb still isn’t recognized so that’s still crappy.

As an update to my previous post, the issue sometimes recurs for me, but each time it does, I can fix it by:

• Uninstalling Ryzen Master

• Re-installing Ryzen Master

Having the exact same issue with the Ryzen Master app not installing and uninstalling properly (Driver not installed!). Ryzen 3700X with an MSI x570 A-Pro motherboard. It’s become super annoying and the stock motherboard settings have the CPU voltage at 1.47V.

I’m very worried that running my CPU without Ryzen Master will burn up my brand new Ryzen chip.

Edit: it still seems I get the error for each reboot. So I suppose I have to uninstall ryzen master every time I turn off computer.

After continuing to encounter this issue and after experimenting more about what causes it, it seems that waiting a short time after the desktop appears, perhaps 30 seconds, can help with launching Ryzen Master. But once it gets «damaged», uninstalling + rebooting + re-installing may be necessary.

Ryzen Master seems quite sensitive to any changes made to the BIOS/CMOS setup. Such a change sometimes requires a re-install of the software. In addition, any kind of CPU or system instability, such as a crash while testing overclocking settings, tends to require a re-installation of Ryzen Master.

So I suggest experimenting with different BIOS settings to see if any help stabilize Ryzen Master for you. For example, these might help if you have the option:

• Putting the vcore voltage on Auto so that the CPU can adjust its own voltage dynamically.

• Enabling AMD Cool & Quiet

• Setting Global C-States to Enabled

• Temporarily turning off Overdrive and any other aggressive or overclocking settings in case they’re causing the issue.
