Sign in to network что это значит

I’ve got a Moto G (first gen), Android 5.0.2, and a Public Mobile plan without data. Ever since upgrading to Android Lollipop, I routinely get a notification saying «Sign into network», particularly when I turn off or disconnect from wifi. If I dismiss the notification, it will just show up again later.

Obviously this doesn’t have a significant effect on my phone use, but it is annoying. I’ve tried a couple of things, including changing the APN (Access Point Names) to the settings recommended by Public. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Thanks in advance.

@smallflightless To me this looks like a phone issue, it can be some app installed which is pushing the notification to your phone. You mentioned it started after the software update to lollipop did you install any app after the update?

Almost all people who own a Moto G have problem with their phone after they updated to Lollipop.

Good thing to do if you do not have DATA per month.

Motorola may have introduced some bug in Lollipops.

If I visit the link in Chrome I get : You need a data Add-on to access the web. Visit Self Serve to add one.

I have tried changing the Prefered network type from LTE to 3G butI still got the notification.

Here is my APN configuration:

Name: Public Mobile
APN: sp.mb.com
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: 74.49.0.18
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: Not set

@smallflightless Unfortunately, I believe you will not be able to send/receive picture messages with data «off».

I think I might have a solution for you. When we were with our previous carrier, my wife did not have data on her plan and would get charged when data was on and she sent MMS messages (background processes on android). So, when we modified the APN settings it disabled all data except MMS protocols and worked like a charm. She is still with Virgin mobile on a Nexus 4 and lollipop, so should work for you too.

Go to your APN settings as shown in the attached image then under APN type, edit it and remove everything except MMS. I can’t remember if default was also left, but try that out and see if it makes a difference.,

А как работает wi-fi фича «Sign-in to Wi-Fi network» физически?

StayFocus

Nanny

Android Keeps Asking “Sign-In To WiFi Network”: 9 Fixes

Android smartphones are extremely famous because of all the right reasons. The android smartphones are pretty easy to use and are convenient to buy. On the contrary, some people have been complaining about Android keeps asking, “sign-in to Wi-Fi network.” For this purpose, we have created this article to fix this issue. Let’s check out the solutions then!

Android Keeps Asking “Sign-In To WiFi Network”

1) Router Issue

For the most part, the issue lies with your router. This is because when the Android phone is successful connected to the Wi-Fi network, it will test if the network can access the internet signals or not. We are saying this because, in the majority of cases, the Wi-Fi networks tend to redirect the requests to the login page. For the most part, “sign-in to Wi-Fi network” is because the Android smartphone is detecting that the Wi-Fi network is redirecting the request (it’s not for network authentication).

2) Change The Settings

In case you don’t think there is a router issue that’s causing the pop-up, you could try changing the settings. For fixing this pop-up, you have to open the advanced settings on the Android smartphone and move to the Wi-Fi tab. From the Wi-Fi tab, scroll down to “sign-in to Wi-Fi network” and disable this option. When it’s disabled, the pop-up won’t appear on your Android smartphone.

3) Software Update

Whenever you struggle with the network and connection issues, there are high chances that the Android software update is available, but you haven’t installed it on the smartphone yet. The Android software update is responsible for streamlining the functionality of your Android smartphone, and network connectivity are one of them. The software updates are designed to fix the bugs that might be causing connectivity errors. To check for the Android software update, check the steps mentioned below;

4) Block The Notifications

If you have installed the software update on your smartphone, but the pop-up is still popping up, you can block the notification to get rid of it. Whenever this pop-up occurs, we suggest that you pull down the notification bar of your smartphone and long-press on this notification or the alert. When you long-press this alert, there will be multiple options, and you need to click on the “block” option. As a result, the notification or alert will be blocked, and it won’t bug you again.

5) Reboot

In this heading, we are going to talk about two different things. Firstly, if you changed the Wi-Fi and network settings, you have to reboot the smartphone after saving these settings. This is because you have to reboot the smartphone after changing the Wi-Fi settings as it helps set in the settings. So, if you changed the Wi-Fi settings but didn’t reboot, it can result in such errors. So, just tweak the Wi-Fi settings again and reboot the phone.

Secondly, if you haven’t changed the Wi-Fi settings at all, we suggest that you reboot the smartphone even then. This is because congested smartphones can lead to network errors. In this case, just long-press the power button of your smartphone or just switch off the smartphone. Once the smartphone is switched off, take about five minutes before you switch on your smartphone again. When it’s switched on, connect to the Wi-Fi, and we are certain this pop-up won’t occur.

6) Connection Optimizer

In case you are still struggling with the sign-in pop-up or error, we suggest that you use the connection optimizer. Connection optimizers are basically the apps, and you can download them from the Google Play Store of your smartphone. The connection optimizer will help streamline the Wi-Fi connection or network. Even more, a connection optimizer will “optimize” the network connection, and it will also help save battery life.

7) Protection Standards

When it comes down to the Wi-Fi networks with “sign-in to Wi-Fi network,” they use the captive portal to increase the protection standards. In addition, it uses IP-based filters blocking traffic or allowing traffic. So, when you log into the connection through your credentials, it will create the session for a smartphone. These sessions usually range from one hour to twenty-four hours.

So, when the session is completed, or you disconnect from the network, you have to tweak the protection standards of the Wi-Fi network. In such a case, you have to call the internet service provider and ask them to switch off the IP-based filters.

8) DoS Attacks

In some cases, this pop-up can occur when someone is trying to plant the DoS attack on the wireless access point. So, if you are thinking that a DoS attack is being planted, it’s best to switch off your Android smartphone for a few minutes and switch on the antivirus after switching it on. This is because the antivirus will protect the smartphone. In addition to this, make sure that you have chosen the WPA2 security standard for your network connection.

9) Reset

If nothing seems to fix the pop-up, we suggest that you reset the network because it will delete the network settings that are causing this issue. That being said, you have to reset the router. The router can be reset by pressing the reset button on the router through the paperclip. When you press the reset button, the router will also reboot and will delete the network settings. After the reset, you can enter the network settings again and use the Wi-Fi network again.

Secondly, you have to reset the network settings again. For resetting the network settings, you have to open the system from the settings and open the advanced tab. From the advanced tab, click on the reset options and tap on “reset Wi-Fi.” It will ask for confirmation, so confirm that you want to reset the Wi-Fi or network settings. As a result, you have to enter the Wi-Fi settings again.
