TerraTech
TerraTech is still in early testing. The R&D gives you the option to test blocks before they are officially put into the beta.
Most people who think it’s not worth it still can’t wrap their minds around the idea of Early Access» and «Beta Testing» because they are intellectually inept. They actually think they are playing a video game when in reality they paid for early access to test the game long before it’s ever released.

Excuse me? ♥♥♥♥ off. The only one here who is intellectually inept is you. Paying to test a game in early access and then paying again for dlc to test even further is insanity. I’ll save my money thanks.
All the blocks will be available when the game is finished.
If you want them now, buy the R&D pack.
If not, don’t
The coolest toys are only available with R&D.
Brackets, Gyros, really big guns yeah baby!
As to paying to test, you’re looking at it the wrong way.
Pay early access to support the Devs.
as a bonus, you can play the game now in its half finished state, and make suggestions.
Pay R&D to add more support, and as a bonus, get more blocks, more access, and an expanded game.

paying to test a beta game while testing a beta game that you paid for.
No.
You’re pre ordering a game that is coming soon.
as with most games, pre-ordering gets you some bonuses for your support.
In TT, you get: Hats, Expanded forum access, and early access to test and have input to the finished product.
If you like, you can add more support to help the Devs (money) and as a reward you get access to the gizmos that others do not yet have, more forum access and so forth.
If non of that interests you, then hey, it’s just a pre-order. get it now while it’s cheap.

As this is not the case, bonuses for «support» does not apply. Also the idea behind pre-ordering is that you have a copy of the physical game held back for you on release day. This has transitioned to digital copies because all of the companies realized that they could rip us off just a little more.
«Devs» don’t need «support». This is a company and you’re a consumer. learn that or you’ll continue to be taken advantage of for the rest of your life.
This DLC for an early access game is just a simple money grab because all of these companies have learned they can get even more money if they throw a couple of «extras» in for the dim wits with too much money. Calling it «Extended» or «Limited» or «Deluxe» is just to grab the attention of small minded sheeple too dim to figure this out.
