Rules for the Folder System
Deviation Actions
Hi guys! There are a lot of new folders in place and some things are changing. We would love some feedback and maybe some ideas for improving the folders.
Take a moment to read through these!
1. The biggest change is YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SUBMIT TO FEATURED.
Featured is now for the adoptables the group mods think are awesome and took a lot of time and preparation. This will cut down on the huge-ness of the featured folder and showcase what’s worth being showcased. If you would like to request your adoptables be put in featured, send me or another mod a note!
2. SUBMIT TO THE RIGHT FOLDER. There are several new folders for organization. They are as follows:
—Free Adoptables
Free adoptables is for adopts you aren’t charging
points for. This folder includes tryouts.
—Canine
Canine is for all dogs, wolves, jackals, foxes etc.
—Feline
Feline is for all cats, lions, leopards etc.
—Equine
Equine is for all horses, zebras, gazelles etc.
—Reptiles and Dragons
Reptiles and Dragons is for all lizards, dragons and
reptilian creatures.
—Birds and Marine Creatures
Birds and Marine is for all birds, gryphons, squid,
cuttlefish etc.
—Other
Other is for all mixed adoptables (we are
considering making a new folder for this), and
unique animal breeds that don’t fit another category.
—Free Lineart
Free lineart is for free lineart (lol). DO NOT
submit your free lineart if people cannot use it for
point adoptables.
This will cut down on confusion and clutter and make your adoptables much easier to find!
If you have any questions, concerns, ideas or improvement suggestions, feel free to comment.
Point commissions anywhere from 5
15
preferably canine/feline commissions but open to all ideas!
Resubmit your adopts!

The ‘Other’ folder is full
The feline folder is full :[
I think the folders are full again ^ ^’
Umm excuse me! Apparently the post I submitted got inserted in the wrong section ;;-;; I’m pretty new to DA so I’m sorry for the mistake! I tried to submit on the correct folder (human) but it said something about overlimit?
I tried to submit an adoptable post to the canine folder and it said it was too big. what should I do?
Help me please. I don’t understand how to join the group because I’m new in DA. ;-;
Adopts are original characters that people make for others to adopt.
Adopts are usually sold for points or money, and there are a variety of formats for adoptions. There are auctions (for money or points), OTAs (offer to adopt, in which you make an offer of points, money, or art, which the seller may or may not accept. though there is usually room for negotiating), DTAs (draw to adopt, in which you draw the adopt you want. in this case, the seller usually chooses the art he/she likes the most), and WTAs (write to adopt, in which you write a short story/bio for the adopt you want, and again,in some cases, it’s up to the seller to choose which one he/she likes). There are even free adopts, though these tend to be low quality or made using doll-maker programs.
Adopt sellers have a set of rules you must follow in order to adopt from them. These rules govern the use of your adopt (e.g. the types of changes to the adopt that are allowed, whether or not to resell or gift to someone else). Make sure to pay close attention to these rules.
When you adopt, you pretty much own the character, and can use it for pretty much anything (again, just remember to pay attention to the rules, which vary by seller). The only thing you cannot claim, of course, is credit for the adopt’s original design, because you didn’t make the character, obviously. Whenever you do something with the adopt, you must make sure you credit the original owner/adopt’s creator. If you plan to adopt many characters, you should keep track of where you got them from.
And those are pretty much the basics of adopts here on dA. Happy adopting!

Only one user is receiving the following notification in order to advice for a limit in a Public folder, but we don´t have any limit for our Public Folders.
The rare thing is the Public folder name is called like the Exchange server name.
I already read all forums and there is no information about it. I already checked for all Public Folder properties and I didn´t find the size limit, the Public folder size even by PFDAVAdmin.
The Exchange Organization is a mixed one, I mean Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2007 organization. The reference for ExchangeServerName1 is a Exchange Server 2003 SP2

1. Make sure that there are no limis on that folder, double check.
2. See if there are any limits on the PF database iteself.
3. Go the that PF folder in question and see who the owner is, try and remove this one user of he is the owner or has any roghts on it.
Firstly, you need to Find the offending folders
1) To determine the affected folders, apply the hot fix documented in article below:
It will change the information provided in the subject of the “Over the Size Limit” message
2) After applying the above patch, wait for the next time the “Over the Size Limit»
message is generated. This should then tell which specific Public Folder(s) is/are
over the set size limits.
3) Once you know the actual Public Folder(s) involved in generating the “Over the
Size Limit” message(s), you can look at two options for handling the receipt the
“Over the Size Limit» messages.
a. Modify the limits set against the public folder
b. Check the properties of the folder to determine who has owner permissions
(either through group membership or individual permission application) and modify
these permissions appropriately
