You should make this a Guide for the «Guide» section of the hub as some people simply doesnt check the discussions.
About time to find a guide.
Thanks for that, the software was so confusing without any guide.
Just sad it don’t work with games that cannot be windowed.

Almost every game can be windowed, I’ve never seen one that can’t. And we are adding a feature to force games into windows in the next version.
The «Disabling In-App» instructions require too many steps.
What I expected:
1. Check the «Disable Steam Hook» option in the menu.
2. Either do nothing, or restart the app (through steam itself).
3. It should «just work».
In my opinion, if the app detects that «Disable Steam hook» is checked, and it is still connected to Steam; then the app should try to release the steam hook somehow (most likely by relaunching itself). That way, the user wouldn’t need any workaround, it would «just work».

If you launch it through Steam, Steam is going to say In-App regardless, just like if you run a non-steam program through Steam, it will say in non-steam game. The only difference is Steam recognizes our program.
Disable
Close it out
Run it from the folder directly
Any way to disable it AFTER? Like if i forgot to disable it while i was running it from Steam and i cannot login in Steam then if i run it directly from the folder but still enable in app Steam, will it require me to run it via steam prior being able to use it without Steam?

If you cant login to steam its not going to matter if it says in-app or not. It will still function.
Nice. Well, i feel like buying and gifting a few copies of it when you’ll add the forced borderless for games that cannot run windowed inside the software.
As many of my friends are interested into this specific feature too.
Great program. I didn’t know I needed it until I tried it, and now I can’t live without it.
I’m still doing some experimenting and getting it all setup with my system, but so far it has been amazingly useful/helpful. I have a main monitor at my desk (144hz 1920×1080), and 27″ TV (60hz) viewed from a sim cockpit race setup, and an Oculus DK1 (1200×800 60hz). Windows sometimes does not play nicely with all these different settings — especially since some games need to be in extended and others cloned. BG has eleminated soooo many issues!! Thank you!
I do have a few questions.
1. Can I point BG at my Steam library and have it load all games automatically? Or do I need to (as I am now) run the game, switch options to a 1920×1080 window, alt-tab to BG, and choose to autorun the game in future?
2. If an older game is locked at 1024×768 (for example), and I run it with BG, it removes the border but doesn’t make it full screen. I have a borderless 1024 game floating on my desktop. Hitting alt-enter will make it full screen, but that will make it ‘true’ full screen (I believe). Can I make force BG to make my borderless window version full screen? Hopefully that makes some type of sense.
Thanks for the remove «in-app» advice here. I’ve only had BG for a few days and opted to get it from your website and not Steam because of this. I didn’t want to be limited to just Steam games (or at least having to have Steam running for it work.
If it’s not hooked to Steam, can it run when Windows starts?

Windowed borderless gaming что это
I realize the old Steam forums are being used less and less, and probably not at all by new users so i figured i’d make a new tread here.
Hey all, i prefer my games to be windowed for alt/tab but i also prefer my games to look full screen, i know there’s allot of «scripts» out there for specific games but i figured id write up one app to enable it for all my games.
if you find this app useful feel free to give rep.
Attempting to re-size a window
By default the game doesn’t re-size, but in case its necessary you can do so in the game settings, which can be found by clicking on the tray icon.
In most cases it is advisable to use your native resolution.
DXWnd instructions
This app detects DXWnd if a DXWnd folder is in the same folder as this app’s exe.
You can download my simplified version of DXWnd here [http//%26quot%3Bhttp] or get a advanced version maintained by ghotik here [http//%26quot%3Bhttp]
If you downloaded my version just extract the contents to the same directory as WindowedBorderlessGaming.
If you downloaded the other version create a folder called DXWnd 1st and then extract the files there.
======================
1.1.1.3
* In addition to automatically setting your games borderless you can also trigger this action by pressing F4 while in-game.
* Included basic version of DXWnd into the package, you can also use a advanced version by ghotik that you can find here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/files/Latest%20build/
________
1.1
* App now needs even less memory.
* There is now a proper settings menu, so you can edit your game settings and apply them without restarting the game. (The config file is still available for whoever wants to do it manual) Settings are launched as a separate process to not increase need for resources.
* Config file is written more tidy to increase reading/writing actions speed for those who have a huge list of games added to it.
* When selecting «Add window» it will time out after 15 seconds in case you chose the option by accident.

Borderless Gaming 2021 full offline installer setup for PC 32bit/64bit
Borderless Gaming is one of the most essential applications for PC gamers who want to take full control over their gaming apps and achieve control over their display modes. While many of the modern gaming titles have been coded with the support for various aspect rations resolutions, refresh rates, and display modes, some of them only support few basic functions. One of the features that are most commonly missing in some older (and from time to time even newer) PC games is the support for borderless window mode in which a windowed game can be rendered in such size to take full advantage of the PC monitor desktop real estate.
Playing in borderless windowed mode enables gamers to take better advantage of their hardware, initiate special rendering modes that prevent screen tearing and other detrimental visual effects, and even allow for more streamlined switching to background Windows apps such as browsers. If the game is lacking the borderless window function, that will sadly prevent gamers to make the game take full desktop size, ruining their immersion. Thankfully, the Borderless Gaming app is here to help.
Borderless Gaming comes in a slim package and features just a single small window where gaming titles can be managed. The app features two main areas, one where shortcuts of game Exe files can be added, and another where any added title will automatically force the windowed game to be run in borderless mode. The app features a simple and intuitive design with multiple ways to manage game app display modes. The app can be run on startup and switching of app display modes can even be done with a global hotkey. The app can even manage on which of your present monitors the game will be rendered.
By having this app installed on their PC, modern gamers can easily switch off the borders from windowed games and maximize their enjoyment by having windowed games take the entire desktop surface. With such a windowed game, multitasking is just a keypress away, and monitor or TV will never have to waste time switching from full-screen mode back to desktop video mode. Another benefit of playing games in windowed mode is on multiple-monitor setups, allowing non-active displays to remain in use even if the game is active on one of them.
Borderless Gaming can be used for FREE on all modern versions of Windows OS (7, 8, 8.1, and 10).
