Xavier renegade angel что это
Western Animation / Xavier: Renegade Angel
Edit Locked
Created by PFFR—the minds behind Wonder Showzen—for Adult Swim, Xavier: Renegade Angel is, on the surface, about an angel who has defected from Heaven. Good luck finding out what it is really about, though. The eponymous Xavier is either an actual fallen angel or just a cosmic abomination that was abandoned at birth. Forced to Walk the Earth because everyone hates him, Xavier seeks enlightenment and tries to help people—but at worst, he invents problems where none exist and causes tons of carnage, and at best, he somehow gets everyone to put aside their differences and join together for the common (and usually justified) goal of beating him senseless.
Probably the weirdest show [adult swim] has ever produced (and that is saying a lot), Xavier was largely one huge Mind Screw, with the title character speaking in a near-continuous, stream-of-consciousness. well, stream of dialogue ranging from narrative and conversation to puns and portmanteaus to «unintentional» double-entendres and callbacks. The show’s only real coherent narrative revolves around a subplot involving Xavier’s incredibly screwed-up childhood and the death of his adoptive parents.
Xavier is uniquely abstract, showing concepts in a way that—instead of using thematic devices such as plot—creates connections in various patterns to prove a point. A good example is the episode «Signs From Godrilla»: This episode explores the aspects of choice, free will and religion by using various themes, including recursion and mind/body dualism, to aid in its expression.
The show was animated in 3D with (some) motion-capture all done in CGI, which allowed for a vast range of strangeness; it is all pretty damn trippy, to say the least. If you were to combine in equal parts Wonder Showzen, the works of Carlos Castaneda and Alejandro Jodorowsky, Kung Fu, Walker, Texas Ranger and the graphics and tone of Postal 2 you would get something similar to Xavier. Do not take this as license to Watch It Stoned—it might make more sense, but it is just as likely that you will be utterly terrified from the sensory overload.
A note on It Makes Sense in Context and Makes Just as Much Sense in Context: To save time, we will only clarify which one somthing is on the rare occasion where it does make sense in context.

Summary
Xavier is a bizarre being with a contradictory backstory, with multiple accounts having him either being abandoned by a inhuman being at a lake before being found by a couple, or conceived by a drunken woman after a particularly wild night. Nevertheless, the most constant aspect of his story is that his parents were «murdered» after a mysterious fire took hold of his house and burned them to death, and determined to find the one responsible for the atrocity, Xavier started training for nine years under a desert shaman, improving his mystical abilities and obtaining profound knowledge on philosophical concept and various querries that would shred the mind of the ordinary being. After completing his training, Xavier set off and became a wanderer, traveling around the world in search for a greater strata of truth, also acting as a guru and helping whoever he finds along the way.
Powers and Stats
Tier: At least 9-B physically. Up to Low 2-C, likely far higher at his height and with his Shakashuri
Origin: Xavier Renegade Angel
Age: Likely in his late 30s
Classification: Hybrid Abomination, Spiritual Guru, Seeker of Metaphysical Answers, Guardian Angel.
Powers and Abilities:
Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Immortality (Types 2 and 3), Martial Arts, Regeneration (At least Mid-High, possibly High-Godly. Put himself together after being cut to pieces, and seemingly returned after Burbury’s computer system broke down reality and compressed it into a point, leaving only a void of nothingness behind), Reality Warping, Time Manipulation (Physically interacted with, and ripped apart the fabric of time. Can alter his own history and that of others by re-imagining flashbacks), Immersion (Entered an astral world in the back of a prehistoric woman, and grabbed a woman from an earlier point in time by sticking his hand into his own memories. Entered inside of his own flashback, interacting with his younger self in the form of a vision of the future), 4th Wall Awareness, Acausality (Types 1 and 3), Magic, Causality Manipulation (Caused a rich kid to experience additional six months of his life by giving him a flashback. Altered a past decision of his after taking the wrong path on a crossroad and changing his mind on it), Toon Force, Non-Physical Interaction, Sound Manipulation, Plot Manipulation, Psychometry (Can see and experience the memories of dead people by drinking their brain matter, as well as the memories of people present in the events he sees in his mind), Fire Manipulation, Subjective Reality, Transformation (Can morph into an entity known as the Everchild by letting his snake arm eat his body, with the death of the Everchild causing it to turn into an egg which he can hatch from in adult form), Teleportation, Time Travel with Preparation (Can travel back in time to varying degrees by eating enough bacon and cigarettes), Perception Manipulation (Made a man visualize imaginary people and robbers whose actions had real effects in the world), Size Manipulation, Pain Tolerance (Not bothered whatsoever by turning himself inside out and having a chunk of his flesh torn off), Water Manipulation, Life Manipulation, Plant Manipulation
Reality Warping, Spatial Manipulation and Transmutation (Completely unaffected by his Shakashuri Blowdown with his clone, repeatedly and constantly countering his reality warping during their battle), Information Manipulation (Unfazed by Burbury’s computer system glitching out and digitizing reality through a virus, reducing everything to a bunch of glitchy polygons), Biological Manipulation and Fusionism (Resisted the sounds of a machine which simulated the guttural chants of three-thousand tibetan monks, which desintegrated whole parts of the world and merged all of humanity into a flesh statue), Ice Manipulation / Heat Manipulation (Casually shrugged off the Earth being deprived from the Sun’s heat, which caused it to freeze entirely), Soul Manipulation (Removed his own soul and transferred it to his younger self with no ill effects) and Time Manipulation
Attack Potency: At least Wall level physically (Casually tore off a woman’s arm to put together a makeshift Shakashuri. Splattered two monks into bloody paste by accident). Up to Universe level+, likely far higher at his height and with his Shakashuri (Completely altered reality on a cosmic scale during a Shakashuri Blowdown with his doppelgänger, distorting space into a mess of fractals and surreal imagery, and creating several starry backgrounds as part of the duel, all of which were seemingly warped into being part of his body at multiple points, before seemingly shattering reality entirely. Casually tore off the fabric of time and used it to disguise as a ghost, revealing the dimension which lay behind it, and was later regarded by a race of extradimensional beings from beyond space and time as their «messiah»)
Durability: At least Wall level physically (Casually endured being slammed through a car wash at high speeds, and took a beating from a man made out of metal). Up to Universe level+ with his Shakashuri (Resisted the anomalous effects of his Shakashuri Blowdown with his doppelgänger, which was distorting and breaking down reality into a recursive landscape of fractals and random imagery, constantly countering and adapting to the warps in reality caused by it)
Range: Standard Melee Range. Up to Universal+, likely far higher with at his peak.
Intelligence: Xavier is, to put it simply, a delusional, borderline sociopathic maniac with no common sense whatsoever, who often goes on pseudo-philisophical tangents with no self-awareness regarding himself or the world around him, and almost always disregards other people’s wishes in favour of his own, either through pettiness or due to pure ignorance, misinterpreting and constantly mishearing blatant statements, and being overall easily gullible, at least in his younger years, with his attempts to help others being dulled and almost always ruined by his necessity to stroke his own ego and tendency to view problems where there are none.
Weaknesses: Incompetent and delusional, and has apparently chosen to abide by a vow of non-violence, although it is mostly arbitrary and he has broken it multiple times throughout the series.
Xavier: Renegade Angel

First Xavier: Listen, we don’t cotton to freaks ’round these parts. Scram, weirdo! Second Xavier: Oh yeah? I don’t polycotton to coping tropes, even my own. So why don’t you split? First Xavier: Looks like I already did. You’re the sad figment of my twisted psyche’s tragic dividend. You’re the un-me. I’m the real me. You wanna be me? Second Xavier: Kiddo, I was the real me when you were still in my short pants. First Xavier: Hate to break it to you, but I wore them first. Me bequeathed thee the psychopathological hand-you-down. Second Xavier: So you’re the one who stained them!! First Xavier: Whoever found it, browned it. Second Xavier: You’d like me to be you, wouldn’t me? But it’s too late. You snoze, you loze. First Xavier: You sleeped, you weeped. Second Xavier: You nap-uh, you get slap-uh. First Xavier: You slumber, a cucumber. Second Xavier: You catch up on some zeds, you get out of my heads. First Xavier: You slumber, ham.. burger I don’t want to talk about nothing else. Second Xavier: Listen, this psyche is not big enough for two metaphysical seekers. First Xavier: You couldn’t seek your way out of a cardboard bag. Second Xavier: Yeah, I know, cause it would be an egg. First Xavier: (Thinking) Ooh. This guy might be better than me. Second Xavier: You’re right. I am better than me. First Xavier: Look, buddy, know when you’re defeated. Accept your defecation. Second Xavier: No, thanks. I’m full, cause I eat pussies like you for breakfast. First Xavier: Look at you, you look so superficial, you probably judge things by their physical appearance. Second Xavier: Oh yeah? Your mom’s so shallow, she probably thinks this quip is about her. First Xavier: You’re about as deep as a bowl of soup, and your tongue is as sharp as a soup spoon. Second Xavier: Hey, say what you want about me, but lay off the soup. First Xavier: If you love soup so much, why don’t you marry soup? Second Xavier: ’cause I’m already married. To justice. First Xavier: Yeah. Only a blind girl would marry you. Second Xavier: I know everything you’re gonna- First Xavier: say. And I know everything you’re gonna- Second Xavier: don’t. First Xavier: Oh yeah? Well, when God was passing out insight, you thought.. he said that when God was passing out holy prophets, you thought he said «oily faucets», cause your soul has diarrhea of the mouth faucet. Second Xavier: Are you so dumb you even answer rhetorical questions? First Xavier: I don’t know, do you? Second Xavier: We can play this game all night. First Xavier: First of all, it’s daytime, and this is no game. Second Xavier: Checkmate. First Xavier: Oh! So you admit that you’re checking me out and you want to mate. Second Xavier: Ooh! You got a license to sell hot dogs, chico man? First Xavier: No. They wouldn’t give it to me, because when I was filling out the application, my penis was sticking out. Second Xavier: Oh, yeah? You only got one penii? Let me see it. First Xavier: See with your eyes, not with your mouth. Second Xavier: I’ll call your bluff. I’ll see your penis with your mouth, and I raise you with my hand. First Xavier: Ante up. Second Xavier: Auugh! Damn it! First Xavier: What’s wrong? Second Xavier: I crapped out, but I’m tough. I can suck it up. First Xavier: Ok. Count of three, we show what’s under the loincloth. Wiener take all. Both: One, two, three!
(The two lift up the loincloth to reveal two eyes and the camera pans out to reveal a mountain in the shape of a face directly underneath them)

(At the Fiddelin monk temple.)
Xavier: Where I come from, sharing love without making a profit is called being a whore. And the working conditions here are whorifying. Xavier: Now we march. (Marches on a table.) No justice, no chants! No justice, no chant— why aren’t you chanting?! Monk: We prefer the sacred silence. Xavier: Oh, break them down with the silent treatment, eh? So devilish, it’s clevelish. I can hear it working on you already. (Yells progressively louder into the Monk’s ears) You hear that silence?! Can you take it?! The crushing blow of that fiery silence as it explodes in your ear with silence! Vroom! Rrrr! Vroom! (Pretends to ride a bike around)
(After Xavier sticks a pill statue into the Vibulator 2000, the vibrations shattering reality.)
Xavier: You’ve woken the yellow dragon! I’ve got to act now! This is the 9/11 of noise, the Chernobyl of chanting, the Hiroshima of humping, the Nagasaki of nookie, the Dachau of Auschwitzes!
Xavier’s Maneuver [2.2] [ edit ]

Desgrazio/Dale: Wait, you’re not a cop! Xavier: Welp, I think I taught you every word and stretch there is. Say cheese. Hitman: [grunts three times, so as to say «Cheese»] Xavier: So, what do you wanna do now? Hitman: [grunts five times] Xavier: Why would you want to commit suicide?!
[The Hitman shoots himself, creating a copy of himself]
Xavier: I know you crave release from your misery, but you’ve just doubled your depression. Xavier: This is what the tandem cycle of random violence breeds! A vengeful black hit-sludge with a grudge hath brought the reaper you’ve sown in the goo of your guilt, as the Créme de your karma is roosting home to harm ya. It always ends up boning the poor.

Xavier: I hate to brag my britches, but I’m a rather large medium when I penetrate the gray veil. Baleed me, once I get this dead motor mouth yapping through me, he won’t stop chewing my lips off till I have to knock his black off and jack our mouths off.
Xavier: Mine is the story of a man searching far and wide, fat and thick and deep for his mother once thought dead. Have you seen her? Chief Master Guru: This supposedly Indigenous shaman took Xavier in after he became orphaned, and taught him mystical and spiritual practices (one such teaching being the power to heal others with the use of a fictional instrument called a «shakashuri»). The Shaman features frequently in flashbacks, and—despite Xavier’s adulation—is shown to be abusive, bullying and cruel. He eventually fakes his own death in order to get rid of Xavier, but its later revealed that he gave Xavier the loin cloth and the inspiration to help people in order to get rid of him.
Xavier’s father: Being dead, Xavier’s father only appears in flashbacks and visions. Xavier says he wants to avenge his father’s death, but in one such flashback his father insists that Xavier himself killed him.
Xavier’s father seems to have been just as neglectful as his mother. In a flashback, for instance, (one which Xavier later denies as being true), his father takes Xavier to a remote location and abandons him as a child, only leaving him with a bicycle as a means of compensation.
In several episodes, Xavier is shown searching the world for his lost mother.
[edit] Style and content
Jokes and humor tend to be oriented towards Xavier’s own philosophical inquiry and the «deep,» «zen-like» diction of wisdom quotes from various spiritual systems (particularly Native American and Hindu or Eastern spirituality) that Xavier seemingly attempts to mimic. These are many times lightly mocked with Xavier’s misuse of the phrases, reflecting on contemporary humor and taking the often circular logic of such statements far out of context.
